Victorian Impulse Sailing Association

2008 - 2009 Victorian Travellers Series

Last season the Victorian Impulse Sailing Association with the support of Gill Australia organised a 8 race travellers series. After a very tight battle Mike Howell won the series at the State titles in March, he was presented with a new Gill Pro Dinghy Spray Top valued at $199. This year the association would like to see the series step up another level with more sponsors and more rewards for sailing at the events. For the 2008 ? 2009 series 1st place will win a $169 Clear Start Race Timer, other awards will be up for grabs during the season. Below is the current calendar with some gaps where dates and venues have not been confirmed. Updates to this will be sent out via the On-Impulse newsletter and posted on the Impulse website.

First change has been to drop Skandia Geelong Week from the series and use an OTB Regatta on the 6th & 7th of December 2008 at Royal Geelong Yacht Club.

Congratulations to Kevin Kay for winning the first round of the series at Sauna Sail.
