The New South Wales Impulse Sailing Association extends a warm welcome to all Impulse sailors, families and friends, to participate in the 25th Australian Impulse Championships, to be held at Mannering Park Yacht Club on the Lake Macquarie, at the start of next year (4 January 2009 – 9 January 2009).
Make sure to revisit this site regularly, as new information will be added as preparations unfold. In the mean time, check out the information below – it should be of help in finding some accommodation, as well as learning a bit more about the Lake Macquarie.

Dates announced for next Nationals
The next Australian Impulse Championships will be held from Sunday 4th January 2009 to Friday 9th January 2009.
At this stage we are not planning on including a Registration Day, Invitation Race or Lay Day. Just wall-to-wall racing!
About the venue
We have chosen the Mannering Park Yacht Club as the host club for this event.

Accommodation
URGENT: Early booking essential for accommodation for next year's Nationals
For those who wish to have a solid roof over their head for next year's Nationals at Mannering Park you will need to book accommodation NOW. The NSW Assoc is looking at pre booking a block of powered camp sites. For those with tents, stay tuned. The Big 4 Monterey Tourist Park has only 6 cabins and villas available with many already being rebooked by people impressed after staying there this Christmas. Here are the details:
Poolside Villas 5-7 birth (5 remaining)
Separate main bedroom with queen bed, 2nd bedroom with bunks
A/C, linen for main bed, Foxtel, TV, VCR, large bathroom
Full kitchen with dishwasher
$1015 reg or $1085 with spa (per week)
Budget Cabin 4-6 birth (1 remaining)
