Local Weather Info

Sailing conditions:

Sailing will be on open water off the metropolitan beach shoreline. (All our lakes have dried up.) Adelaide enjoys mainly stable summer conditions with the classic situation being light (8-10kt) morning breezes often with an offshore component from the SE. The afternoons usually produce a SW sea breeze of 15-20kt on a 1-1.5m wave.

Accommodation suggestions:

Adelaide Shores Caravan Resort situated 1.5km south of the club. (Please note their Holiday Village is booked out until 2011.)

Discovery Holiday Parks – Adelaide Beachfront situated 11km north of the club.

Holiday flats and apartments
Do a Google search for: West Beach accommodation, then click on the “about-australia.com.au” site.

Glenelg which is situated 6km south of the club offers shopping and accommodation facilities but could be expensive.
